At the end of 2011, Shinhan Bank has more than 1000 inbound branches and a global network of 58 branches and subsidiaries in 14 countries including the U.S., the U.K., Japan, China, Germany, India, Hong Kong, Singapore and Vietnam, v.v..
With clear vision, confidence in our state of the art credit and financial foundation, as well as high expectation in Vietnam potential market, Shinhan Bank was one of the pioneers to promote the formal diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea by establishing our Representative Office in 1993. Two years later, we opened Shinhan Bank Hochiminh Branch. A big milestone was marked in December 2008 when Shinhan Vietnam Bank was licensed and became one of the first five 100% foreign owned banks in Vietnam.
On 28th of November , 2011 the Bank once again shows our commitment to Vietnam market by merging with Shinhan Vina Bank, and officially changed its name to SHINHAN BANK VIETNAM.
During the past 18 years of sustainable endeavor , SHINHAN BANK VIETNAM has now become one of the largest foreign banks in Vietnam with 9 branches in major cities and Head Oficce in Hochiminh City. We, SHINHAN BANK VIETNAM has always appreciated our loyal customers and our dedicated Vietnamese staff who enable us to have a solid presence in Vietnam today.
In near future, SHINHAN BANK VIETNAM will continue expanding our branches and network to many provinces and cities in Vietnam and constantly enhance our service quality to best serve our dearest customers.
